For my regular readers: This post in english, ’cause Andrew surely will be reading this. I’m a proud participator in European Blogging By Post #7 hosted by Johanna from thepassionatecook. The idea is to send a parcel full of local food to a completly stranger and to recieve one by another one you never heard before. Sounds good, but I missed number 6, so i had to wait a long time for number 7. I recieved a Parcel from Andrew yesterday, he is a veteran in ebbp…. click on the next link to read on.
This is it:

So, we’ve got: An edition of “The Observer Food Monthly”, a postcard of Henley on Thames, a pack of Luxurious Florentines, a bootle of Fentimans Traditional Ginger Beer, Tyrrells hand fried vegetable chips and some home-made chocolate cookies.
As you can see, the number of the cookies has reduced dramatically, because they are , oh, so delicious! These made my day!
I’m curious about tasting the root beer. Never had one of these, I wonder how it will taste. I stopped eating potatoe chips in the beginning of this year, so the vegetable chips will be a welcome change with the next movie I’m going watch. The florentines look very sophisticated – they come with pistachios and almonds, very fine. The magazine includes fresh recipe ideas, hope I can try out some of these. Thanks for the nice words on the postcard:
Enjoy,
No childhood sweets but a childhood drink.

Thanks a lot, mate! I’m very happy with your parcel – especially with these chocolate cookies… I do enjoy your fantastic photos on your blog, unfortunately I only own a crappy photo-mobile to take the pictures for mine.
Hope you recieve a good parcel from a fellow blogger, thanks to Johanna for hosting!
Glad you enjoy the cookies. Was a bit worried that you didn’t read English – so including the magazine might have been redundant. Happy you enjoyed everything though. As for being a veteran of EBBP; it was I who set the whole thing up following a similar scheme in Canada.
The pub in the postcard, The Angel, by the way, is where you can find me quite often!
Andreas it’s Bron – you sent me a wonderful package of goodies as part of EBBP#7. I have written about it today – http://practicallydaily.blogspot.com/2007/06/surprise.html – but I wanted to say thanks to you direct. I liked what you sent, learned some things and got to try something new – pretty fantastic from someone I’ve not met and all of it happening on a Monday.
Cheers (as they say here)
Bron
